Description

After a week+ of rain, finally the skies cleared in time for some imaging near opposition. Images taken under average to good seeing from the DC suburbs. Great to see some surface features peaking through the dust... More more processing to do, but I was pretty happy with this first pass so posting an initial version.

Imaged with a C8 Evo, custom Siebert 2x barlow, ZWO ADC, Baader Moon&Skyglow filter, and ZWO ASI224MC. Imaging train was configured to give me ~F/25. Image capture using Sharpcap (for some reason I could get 200+ FPS in sharpcap and only 100+ in Firecapture). Stacking in AutoStakkert3 (best 25% of ~50,000 frames captured over 240 seconds.). Color balancing and Wavelet sharpening in Registax6.

Original version: Single frame.

Updated version: De-erotated and combined 3 frames in WinJupos 10.9 to generate the final image. Each of the individual images is a stack of the best 25% of ~50,000 frames captured over ~240 seconds.
